MATERIALS & JEWELLERY CARE

What fashion jewellery is made of, and how to keep it bright.

ARVENIER is a fashion and artificial jewellery house. Our pieces are made to bring drama and polish to an outfit at an accessible price — not to be fine jewellery. This page explains the materials you will meet in the collection and how to look after them. The exact materials of a specific piece are those stated on its own product page.

Materials you will see in the collection

Fashion jewellery is usually built on a base metal or alloy — for example zinc alloy, copper alloy, brass or stainless steel — and finished with a plated or coated surface in a gold, silver, rose-gold or gunmetal tone. Decorative detail commonly comes from glass, cubic zirconia and other synthetic crystals, resin, enamel, imitation pearls and natural or reconstituted beads.

Words such as gold tone, silver tone or crystal describe colour and appearance. They do not mean solid gold, sterling silver or precious stones unless a product page states the material and its standard explicitly.

02

How material details are shown on a product

Each product page lists the information we hold for that piece and its options. During the private preview, material, dimension and finish details come from supplier listings and are still being verified; we do not treat supplier wording as a confirmed claim. Campaign photographs and 3D studies on this site are AI-generated or illustrative styling references, not technical drawings of a specific product.

Sensitive skin

Some people react to nickel or other metals used in alloys. Unless a product page states that a piece is nickel-free or hypoallergenic, assume that it may not be. Remove any piece that causes redness, itching or irritation, and seek medical advice if a reaction continues. Keep small parts and jewellery away from young children.

04

Everyday care

  • Put jewellery on last, after perfume, hairspray, lotion and make-up have dried.
  • Take it off before bathing, swimming, exercise, sleeping or cleaning with household chemicals.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils and moisture.
  • Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive polishes and soaking; they can damage plating, glue-set stones and imitation pearls.
  • Plated surfaces can gradually wear with friction; how long a finish lasts depends on how often and how the piece is worn.
05

Storage

Store each piece separately in a dry pouch or lined box, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Fasten chains before storing them to prevent tangles, and keep earrings in pairs. A small silica gel sachet in the box helps reduce tarnish.
